Anyone Who Subscribes to the Atheopagan Principles
may be an Atheopagan cleric
Atheopaganism holds as Sacred the living Earth, Love, Beauty and Truth. We have 13 Principles we live by. The Atheopagan Society believes that all people are naturally born equal and endowed with the right to control their own spiritual life, and thus that all those who feel so called should have access to ordination.
In order to be ordained as a “cleric” in our religious path, we ask only that people endorse the 13 Atheopagan Principles, which are common-sense, modern ethical precepts.
In Atheopaganism, being a cleric is a service role to the community, not an elevation to “higher status”. We are all fundamentally equal.
You can become a legally ordained Atheopagan clergy member
Clicking the button below will take you to the Ordination page where you can register with the Society as a fully-credentialed Atheopagan cleric, legally entitled to perform weddings and other functions in most of the United States. You must be 18 years or older in order to be ordained.
PLEASE NOTE: clicking the button will take you to the “Congratulations” page, where a POP-UP WINDOW will request your name and email address. If this does not happen, come back to this page, clear your cookies and cache, be sure pop-up blocking is turned OFF, and try again.
After ordination, you will receive an email with links to a downloadable ordination certificate as an Atheopagan cleric.
The Society has published a downloadable introductory guidebook for clerics to help with conducting weddings, funerals, etc. Click here to download it.
